Bev has been a professional artist since 2004, starting out as an oil painter. She discovered encaustic art in NYC while on vacation, and made a conversion to this “sizzling” medium. She teaches it in Columbus at the Cultural Arts Center and in private workshops.
Her award-winning work has been accepted into many local, state and nationally juried exhibitions. The Museum of Encaustic Art has included one of her works in their Santa Fe permanent collection, as well as the Downtown Columbus Hilton Hotel. She’s received four grants from the Greater Columbus Arts Council to continue her exploration and professional development.
Bev accepts commissions and has a full-time studio in a converted historic barn. The silo has the spiral staircase that accesses her space.
